exhibit 'Bared', at the Woollahara Small Sculpture Prize.
As well as her award she received a nights accommodation
at the Intercontinental Hotel at Double Bay.
Flights were booked to take the opportunity to indulge the luxury
of the accommodation and the surrounds of Double Bay prior to
her returning to studies at the University of SA next week.
Departing the Hotel Thursday we had all day to visit the State Library
where the exhibition 'Under the sun', the new work of artists responding
to Max Dupain's iconic 'Sunbaker' image, were on show, and after to leisurely
venture at will, wherever.
Glenda and I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition 'Under the sun',
at the State Library of NSW. A new take on Max Dupain's iconic image 'Sunbaker'.
I did not know what to expect from preview images but the exhibition itself becomes
immersive with multi-media works and cross-cultural context.
The original works by Max, including his album, and the references to the earlier promotions of the work by the ACP (Australian Centre For Photography) both anchor and give context to the exhibition.
I was disappointed not to find Photofile, the ACP's latest publication of its journal, on sale at the Library Shop.
I love to seize the moment to take multiple frames with the creation of a Gif
in mind.
