The Doll  - a poem

Over the fence behind the house,
unoccupied pending demolition,
I could see the doll, suspended.
Once a plaything.
Now abandoned, discarded, unwanted.
What tales could it tell?
Fondled by human hands, a trace of DNA, a strand of hair.
It acts out in the breath of the breeze a longing still
to be free from what awaits, a tomb of rubble.

My current fascination with creating Gifs  gave me the idea to put some
live action into the frames of Betty, (a likeness of Ned Kelly's favorite weapon),
spewing fire.
Frames were selected from the many I took to create the images in my book.
So much fun to be had.
Put aside Ned for a moment and we have 'Action Man - live firing',
a world first?

Cameo-elements of beauty

Beautiful day in Adelaide. Glenda and I cycled into the city to view the exhibition: http://www.samuseum.sa.gov.au/explore/exhibitions/the-australian-geographic-anzang-nature-photographer-of-the-year-2013
On the way home I was delighted to find the dissected remains of a 'road kill' Barbie? doll strewn 50metres along the gutter. With a project in mind inspired by Tracey Moffatt I composed an image in homage to her work 'Road Kill' and most recent 'Spirit Landscape'.
