Bird Selfie

I posted a bird self impression to a previous blog:

and yesterday another attempt but this time with unfortunate
consequences for the pigeon which was found lying on the deck
apparently with a broken neck or severe head trauma.
The least I could do for it was to record its attempt and preserve
its image in a still life.

Cameo-elements of beauty

Beautiful day in Adelaide. Glenda and I cycled into the city to view the exhibition: http://www.samuseum.sa.gov.au/explore/exhibitions/the-australian-geographic-anzang-nature-photographer-of-the-year-2013
On the way home I was delighted to find the dissected remains of a 'road kill' Barbie? doll strewn 50metres along the gutter. With a project in mind inspired by Tracey Moffatt I composed an image in homage to her work 'Road Kill' and most recent 'Spirit Landscape'.
