The usual weekend activity

Most weekends during this hockey season I have been photographing the action.
My son Hugh normally a handsome young man appears very determined and aggressive as he attacks the ball in the last frame.

Wrappers - naturally

 text&images©billpurvis
This is my favorite  work.
Its presented in lolly-pop style.
A discarded wrapper proclaims  'No Artificial Colours', a  contradiction.
The book documents pollution in an urban landscape, discarded wrappers and
ephemeral cast-offs, with a hint of the quirky and humorous.

New Zealand

We arrived home from a wonderful 3 week camper van tour of New Zealand last Thursday.
The scenery is sensational from every view.
For more delightful views see my next blog:
http://australianphotographcollector.blogspot.com.au/2011/06/new-zealand-south-north-islands.html
I couldnt resist this photograph.
The irony of the view - it could be captioned - 'A wasted view'.
They have so many wonderful views perhaps they take them for granted.
The placement of the waste bins was perhaps not so well thought out.
The delightful lady walking through provides a beautiful contradiction.
