Adelaide University wanted to dominate on its home turf at West Beach adjacent to the Airport.
This was Adelaide's third game within the last 7 days and the fatigue, physical and mental, was showing.
They played with courage and fought out to win.
Adelaide goal keeper Brad Sofia showed his usual brilliant form saving several goals and Adelaide University had an unlucky miss hitting the bar.
This game was important for Adelaide to have any chance of securing a finals berth.
